In contrast to my first selection, i also really admire more realistic art that contains softer colors and a lot of detail. Still nature oriented, i admire the attention to details and exactness in this piece. This piece is done in acrylic paint, also my favorite medium.

This piece stood out to me right off the bat because nature, specifically and especially trees, are of my favorite subject matters, but it also stood out to me because of the bold and contrasting colors which also intrigue and attract my attention. The process and material of the piece is unknown until the website decides it wants to actually load for me.

2011-2012 School Year Goal

I've had a lot of challenging experiences in my life and it has cause me to view the world differently, and although I want others to know about these things, because I feel it has a direct connection to the essence of who I am, I'm not always comfortable enough to tell others through verbal means about these deeply personal things. Therefore, my goal this year is to dig deeper into myself to reflect on my past experiences and feelings and work to translate them into art instead. I wish to communicate my vulnerability through my work rather than my words to share with others my unique perspectives on life and the world around me and hopefully as a result motivate and encourage people to relate to my pieces in deeper and more enlightening ways than before.
